Qualcomm Technologies International, Ltd. has announced exciting news for the Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound platform portfolio. This ground-breaking strategy was developed particularly to elevate the gaming experiences. Snapdragon Sound and LE Audio combine for <20ms ultra-low latency, delivering lag-free wireless audio with a speech back-channel for gaming communication. When using it just for video game audio, it greatly reduces the latency.
Support for LE Audio Auracast Broadcast Capabilities
The enhanced method works with the most recent LE Audio Auracast broadcasting features for dongles and adapters. This capability enables various devices, including TVs, phones, laptops, PCs, consoles, and audio equipment, to convert into high-end broadcast platforms. Users may listen to high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio streams over Bluetooth that are very high quality. Snapdragon Sound and Qualcomm aptXTM Adaptive audio technology enable immersive playback of premium music with faithful reproduction of original compositions.

Qualcomm’s Marketing Director and Snapdragon Sound Head, Mike Canevaro, shared thoughts on the latest product release. He clarified that the goals of each Snapdragon Sound generation have been to lower latency and enhance audio quality. Qualcomm hopes to offer the finest wireless gaming experience yet with its new platform. Canevaro highlighted consumer demand for lag-free gaming audio, with proprietary solutions being the sole providers of immersive wireless audio. He mentioned that the new platform enables using the same devices for calls, high-quality music, and ultra-low latency gaming with Snapdragon Sound.
Enabling Audio Sharing and Adaptation
Qualcomm undertook the study and showed significant consumer interest in audio-sharing use cases, which are now available with Auracast Broadcast. From their smartphones or laptops, users may effortlessly share audio with several friends or family members. In addition, they may enjoy wireless Auracast audio streaming in public areas. Any source device can use the new platform to create dongles and adapters that enable Auracast Broadcast audio sharing.
