As early as 2023, on January 16, 2023, i.e., tomorrow, Oppo plans to launch its first smartphone, Oppo A78 5G in India. In its social media accounts, Oppo teased its upcoming phone. In addition, the company has confirmed some new features for Oppo’s A-series device.
The company wrote about it on Twitter, “The era of 5G has dawned upon us, and it’s time to experience superior connectivity and blazing-fast speed with #OPPOA78 #5G. Arriving soon at super speed!”.

To power, the Oppo A78 5G will come with a battery with a capacity of 5000mAh. In addition, to the fast-charging capabilities, the device will feature 33-watt SuperVOOC technology. With a MediaTek 700 chipset and a Mali-G7MC2 GPU, a powerful GPU will power the smartphone.

OPPO A78 5G | Additional Features
According to the company, an updated program of ColorOS will be offered to select Oppo models starting in 2023 for four-year. In addition, the company announced that it would provide five years of security patches for selected flagship models in 2023.
In response to the Android 13 operating system, ColorOS 13 is the company’s latest operating system. As a result of the latest ColorOS operating system’s fast rollout, Oppo also announced that it has the fastest rollout in the history of its operating system.
There are dual camera sensors on the back of the Oppo A78 5G and a fingerprint sensor on the side. The device is the successor to the Oppo A77 and features a
- waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and
- a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
