Malls are increasingly adopting eco-friendly designs, incorporating green roofs, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and energy-efficient lighting to minimize their environmental footprint. Food and beverage offerings have emerged as a major footfall driver in modern malls. Unique dining experiences, gourmet food markets, and specialty restaurants are drawing visitors who seek more than just retail therapy. Food courts have evolved into curated dining spaces with themed decor, live music, and chef-driven pop-ups, adding an experiential layer to the overall mall visit.

Recognizing the importance of community engagement, malls are hosting live events, art exhibitions, and social initiatives to foster a sense of belonging. The focus is on creating a space that is more than just a commercial establishment, but rather a social hub where people gather, interact, and engage beyond shopping.
