Anand Bakshi has been such a lyricist of the country who created a new history by writing 4000 songs in about 650 films. The magic of hundreds of his songs still remains as it is even after so many years. But the sad thing is that he never got any honor from the Government of India. He never got Padma Shri, nor any National Award, even a postage stamp has not been issued on him till date. Therefore, I request the Government of India to issue a postage stamp on Anand Bakshi and also honor him with Padma Samman posthumously.
