Iline EV Logistics

The Indian logistics sector is at the cusp of transformation, driven by the urgent need to cut emissions and build sustainable supply chains. Among the innovators leading this shift is Iline EV Logistics, a company reimagining last-mile delivery through an electric-first approach. Founded with a clear mission to tackle urban air pollution and congestion, Iline has grown from a small fleet in Delhi NCR to India’s first low-emission-only logistics marketplace.

In this conversation, we explore the journey of Iline—how it combines sustainability with operational efficiency, the role it envisions in accelerating EV adoption across the logistics sector, and the technological innovations powering its reliable delivery network. We also discuss the challenges of scaling EV logistics in India, from charging infrastructure to driver adoption, and how Iline is turning these hurdles into opportunities. Looking ahead, the company’s expansion plans, partnerships, and commitment to greener solutions highlight its ambition to become the leading force in shaping a carbon-neutral delivery ecosystem.

At its core, Iline EV Logistics is not just about deliveries—it’s about proving that clean mobility, profitability, and impact can move forward together.Iline EV Logistics: Redefining Deliveries with Clean Mobility

What inspired you to start Iline EV Logistics, and how has the journey been so far in transforming the last-mile delivery ecosystem in India?

The inspiration for Iline came from a very real problem that affects every Indian city—air pollution and traffic congestion. Logistics, though only a small part of India’s vehicle population, contributes disproportionately to emissions. I wanted to build a solution that not only makes business sense but also creates impact at scale.

The journey so far has been both challenging and rewarding. From starting in Delhi NCR with a handful of EV drivers to building India’s first low emissions only logistics marketplace, we’ve proven that clean mobility and operational efficiency can go hand in hand. Every delivery we complete strengthens our conviction that sustainability and profitability can coexist.

How do you see the adoption of electric vehicles evolving in the logistics sector over the next 3-5 years, and what role does Iline aim to play in this transition?

Over the next 3–5 years, EV adoption in logistics will no longer be optional—it will be inevitable. Policy tailwinds, falling battery costs, and increasing pressure from enterprises to decarbonize their supply chains will accelerate this shift.

Iline aims to be at the center of this transition by building the largest EV-first logistics marketplace in India. Our role is to make the switch easy for both drivers and businesses—by providing access to EV vehicles, smart routing, charging infrastructure, and reliable delivery services. We don’t just want to participate in the shift—we want to lead it.

Sustainability is at the core of EV logistics. How is Iline contributing to reducing carbon emissions and building a greener supply chain?

Every kilometer driven on Iline’s platform replaces a kilometer that would have been powered by fossil fuels. That’s the most direct impact. On top of that, we are building a driver ecosystem that earns sustainably, while enabling enterprises to achieve their ESG goals through greener last-mile logistics.

We also track and quantify CO₂ savings for our clients so they can see the tangible environmental benefits of using Iline. Over time, our vision is to create India’s most transparent, carbon-neutral delivery network—where businesses know that every order fulfilled is a step towards a greener tomorrow.

What technological innovations or strategies has Iline implemented to ensure operational efficiency and reliability in EV-based deliveries?

We’ve built our platform to solve two critical EV logistics challenges: battery range and reliability.

AI-powered routing and vehicle assignment: Our system matches orders with drivers based on SoC (state of charge), distance, and turnaround time, ensuring maximum efficiency.

Battery and charging intelligence: We integrate predictive charging algorithms and telematics to prevent mid-trip disruptions.

Marketplace flexibility: Instead of owning a fleet, we enable drivers and enterprises to onboard their EVs, creating a scalable and asset-light model.

This technology-first approach ensures our deliveries are just as reliable—if not more—than traditional diesel-based logistics.

What are the biggest challenges you face in scaling EV logistics in India, and how do you overcome them?

The biggest challenges are:

  1. Charging Infrastructure – Still in its early days, which makes route planning critical.
  2. Driver Adoption – Many drivers are still hesitant to switch to EVs due to upfront costs.
  3. Market Awareness – Businesses are just beginning to realize the long-term benefits of EV logistics.

We address these by:

Building strategic charging partnerships and planning our own fast-charging solutions.

Running driver incentive programs and offering zero-commission onboarding.

Educating enterprises with data-backed case studies on cost savings and emission reductions.

Scaling EV logistics in India is not easy, but these challenges are exactly why there’s a massive opportunity.

What are Iline’s expansion plans for the future? Can we expect new partnerships, geographical expansions, or innovative solutions soon?

Absolutely. Our near-term focus is on strengthening our presence in Delhi NCR while expanding into Tier-2 cities like Jaipur and Lucknow, which are underserved but rapidly growing markets.

On the partnerships front, we are actively collaborating with charging infrastructure providers, sustainability-focused enterprises, and even government bodies to accelerate adoption.

Innovation will remain at the heart of Iline—we are working on predictive telematics, green credit systems, and deeper integrations with enterprise supply chains. Our vision is simple: wherever there’s demand for clean, efficient, and reliable deliveries, Iline should be the first name that comes to mind.
