Samsung India’s flagship CSR program, Samsung Innovation Campus, successfully concluded its AI and Coding & Programming courses for its inaugural batch of 196 students in Bengaluru. This achievement highlights Samsung’s dedication to solid partnerships in India and its collaboration with the government to empower the country’s youth and contribute to the mission of #PoweringDigitalIndia. Students from polytechnic colleges received course completion certificates at a ceremony attended by Samsung and ESSCI officials.
Felicitation Ceremony
At Government Women’s Polytechnic College in Ramanagara, Government Polytechnic College in Channapatna, and Sri Jayachamarajendra Polytechnic College in Bangalore, a ceremony commemorated the students who received mentorship and training. Samsung and ESSCI officials attended the ceremony where students got their course completion certificates.

Problem Statements
Students worked on problem statements that addressed various subjects during the course. These included designing an AIOT-based cloud system for parking spot identification and traffic prevention, developing a chatbot for e-governance support, building an app-based identifier for counterfeit currency detection to combat inflationary trends, establishing a shared platform with multi-lingual settings for regional language-based education imparting, and creating healthcare data storage and security solutions.

Program Overview
To upskill 3,000 impoverished youngsters in future technology fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of things (IoT), big data, and coding and programming, Samsung India established the Samsung Innovation Campus program across eight nationwide campuses. The program empowers youth aged 18-25 with vital technical skills for success in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Training Structure and Placement Opportunities
All around India authorized training and educational partners of ESSCI provide instructor-led classroom instruction to program participants. The curriculum combines theory-based education with capstone projects that need practical application and soft skill development to improve employability. The students have chosen to specialize in artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, programming, and coding. After completing the program, employment placements are provided at pertinent companies to enhance their professional development further.

Course Breakdown
AI Course: Students spend 270 hours in theoretical classes and 80 hours on projects.
IoT or Big Data Course: Students spend 160 hours in class and another 80 hours on a project.
Coding & Programming Course: Students completed 80 hours of training besides participating in a hackathon.
