With the growing importance of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) in national infrastructure and security, BonV Aero, a pioneering Indian logistics drone manufacturing firm, is transforming the aerial systems domain through intelligent, dual-purpose unmanned solutions designed to serve both in logistical support to our Army and last-mile deliveries to first responders in disaster management.

Designed with a modular framework and powered by indigenous innovation, BonV Aero’s UAVs are already proving their worth at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and also during emergency deployments in remote parts of Northeast India.

“Our UAVs are engineered for rapid deployments. Whether conducting delivery missions at isolated locations or from base camp to forward fronts for the Indian Army, or conducting survey missions at the disaster-hit areas, our drones are always mission-ready across any terrain,” said Satyabrata Satapathy, Co-founder and CEO of BonV Aero.

This dual-use case enables the modular payload multipods and indigenous AI-integrated flight systems to act in both tactical and civilian roles rapidly. During the recent flash floods in Sikkim, BonV deployed its UAVs in coordination with local disaster response units and the Indian Army.

A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) drone was deployed during the landslide to locate army personnel & few others who went missing. The challenging and hazardous conditions of the survey areas made traditional recovery methods, such as on-foot missions through the debris, extremely difficult. Therefore, aerial support was essential in this situation, considering the recent technologies that Indian startups have been working on. BonV stepped forward to provide crucial assistance to our armed forces, leveraging their GPR drone, a mature product designed for such situations, which serves as the last hope for precision finding.

With a decade of experience in the aerospace industry, BonV’s leadership and team bring this great innovation capable of enduring in rugged terrain, mastering motor systems for high winds, and battery management for extreme temperatures. BonV Aero’s systems are fully compliant with the Ministry of Defence’s Make in India vision, offering strategic autonomy and export potential.

“Our technology stands at the intersection of sovereignty and scalability. What serves a soldier on the LAC today may save a farmer or schoolchild in the Northeast or any other part of the country,” said Abinash Sahoo, Co-Founder & CTO of BonV Aero. With the future of aviation heading toward autonomy and resilience, BonV Aero stands as a shining example of how homegrown technology can bridge the gap between military readiness and humanitarian outreach, from the nation’s borders to its most underserved corners.
