To jointly develop automotive-grade gateway solutions for the rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) market, Inventec, a leading provider of high-powered servers with headquarters in Taiwan, and Renesas Electronics Corporation have announced their partnership. This partnership focuses on creating a Proof of Concept (PoC) for connected gateways based on Renesas’ sector-leading R-Car system-on-chip (SoC) to serve Tier-1 automotive suppliers and OEMs.

Renesas’ Contribution

Inventec will get the most recent R-Car SoCs, analog parts, and power supplies from Renesas.

Furthermore, Renesas will provide engineering support to help Inventec create a proof-of-concept for the next-generation in-vehicle-linked gateway systems.

Collaboration Details

The product development roadmaps, market research, and specifications will be regularly exchanged between the two businesses.

Initial PoC will include essential security and OTA features for linked gateway applications.
