- India is ready to roll out made-in-India 4G and 5G technology.
India is gearing up to introduce its indigenously developed 4G and 5G tech to the world. Although it is still just a suggestion, it will be carried out successfully if everything proceeds as expected.
G20 Summit
As per the officials, this will be a highlight at the coming Group of 20 (G20) meeting. While addressing the inaugural business 20 (B20) inception event in Gandhinagar, Union Minister of Communications and Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “made-in-India 4G and 5G platforms will be offered to the world from next year”. The minister also said that as of now, only four countries in the world have an end-to-end 4G and 5G telecom technology stack. India has created its own technology, but it has been tested to handle 10 million simultaneous calls thanks to the public-private cooperation.
According to the ministry, collaborating public and private resources has proven to be an excellent solution for core development and the best utilization of public funds. If this rollout goes as per the plan, 2023 and 2024 could be incredible years for the Indian telecom industry and a significant opportunity for India to promote made-in-India 4G and 5G technology globally.

What is 5G?
Most of us are already familiar with 4G technology, as we have been using it for years now, but 5G is going to be new and fast. It launched in 2022, and this network, as of now, can only be accessed in a few cities in India.
However, the rollout of 5G all over the country is a very near dream. 5G is the fifth-generation cellular network technology. It is designed to improve network connections by addressing the legacy issues of speed, latency, and utility, which the earlier and current generation of mobile networks could not handle. Introducing 5G services could open new growth prospects and help the nation overcome various challenges.
Made-in-India 4G and 5G
With no monopoly threat from any tech giant and a great digital ecosystem, India is ready to roll out made-in-India 4G and 5G technology all over India in 2023 and next to the world in 2024.
