The Dimensity 9300’s All Big Core architecture represents a significant leap in premium smartphone processing power. A new age of generative AI applications and improved edge and hybrid AI computing capabilities are brought about by this unique architecture, according to MediaTek President Joe Chen, in conjunction with an updated on-chip AI Processing Unit (APU).

Enhanced Generative AI with APU 790
MediaTek’s APU 790 AI processor, enhancing generative AI performance and energy efficiency, is integrated into the Dimensity 9300. The APU 790 uses 45% less power while providing twice as much performance in floating-point and integer computations. It uses Stable Diffusion to generate images in less than a second, making it eight times quicker than the previous version in terms of processing speed. Moreover, MediaTek’s mixed-precision INT4 quantization technology improves memory bandwidth use and lowers requirements for big AI models when paired with NeuroPilot memory hardware compression. The APU 790 supports low-rank adaptation in NeuroPilot Fusion, enabling it to handle language models from 1B to 33B parameters.
Unleashing Gaming Potential
The Arm ImmortalisTM-G720 powers Dimensity 9300, boosting GPU performance by 46% with equal power usage to Dimensity 9200. While maintaining performance like the previous chipset, it reduces GPU power usage by 40%. Simultaneous gaming and video streaming on smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9300 is made possible by the device’s octa-core CPU architecture and MediaTek’s second-generation hardware ray tracing engine, which together produce console-level global lighting effects at a fluid 60 frames per second.
Reimagining Photography and Video Capture
The Dimensity 9300 is a mobile device with always-on HDR for 4K 60fps video, powered by low-power AI-ISP. Additionally, it enables AI Noise Reduction (AI-NR) on RAW images and movies, as well as a cinematic mode at 4K/30 frames per second with real-time bokeh tracking. The processor will support Android 14’s Ultra HDR format, enhancing photo vibrancy and JPEG compatibility. To further improve consumers’ shooting experience, the Dimensity 9300 also has ambient light adaptive HDR recovery technology.
Immersive Display System
The Dimensity 9300’s display tech adjusts contrast, sharpness, and color in real-time using on-device AI. This complements the MiraVision PQ engine, delivering vibrant graphics akin to flagship DTV video quality.
Top-Notch Connectivity and Additional Features
To provide a better long-range connection, the Dimensity 9300 integrates MediaTek Xtra RangeTM Technology and supports Wi-Fi 7 speeds of up to 6.5 Gbps. MediaTek’s Multi-Link Hotspot technology may increase smartphone tethering speeds by up to three times when compared to competing solutions.
