In September, 24 smartphones were launched, of which twelve were 4G smartphones, and twelve were 5G smartphones and month is a kind of Realme and Apple month.
Realme launched four smartphones and Apple also launched four smartphones, and from Realme’s four smartphones only one was 5G smartphones and from Apple, all are 5G smartphones. Redmi and Vivo launched three smartphones each; on that, Redmi and Vivo both launched only one each 5G smartphone, Tecno, Motorola, and Oppo, three of them launched two smartphones each in that Tecno and Oppo both launched one each 5G smartphone and Motorola launched both 5G smartphones. Poco, Itel, Lava, and iQoo all four of them launched only one smartphone each and among them only iQoo launched the 5G smartphone. 4G cellular technology-based smartphones
Eight different OEMs launched twelve different 4G smartphones in September 2022. OEMs were Realme, Redmi, Vivo, Lava, Tecno, Oppo, Itel and Poco. Realme launched the maximum number of 4G smartphones, followed by Redmi and Vivo.
Three OEMs that haven’t launched 4G smartphones were Apple, Motorola, and iQoo in September 2022.
For 4G smartphones, the maximum chipsets used by OEMs were from MediaTek, followed by Unisoc, and the OEM uses only one Qualcomm chipset.
From MediaTek, Helio G99 was used twice by the OEMs; from Qualcomm, only snapdragon 680 was used for smartphones, and OEM used Unisoc T616 and SC9863A to launch 4G smartphones.
In the Basic (Below Rs 7000) segment, Redmi is the only OEM launched 4G smartphone.
In the Affordable (Rs 7001 – Rs 15000) segment, Realme, Vivo, Redmi, Lava, Itel, and Poco launched nine 4G smartphones.
In the Affordable Premium (Rs 15001 – Rs 30000) segment, only OEMs Tecno and Oppo launched the two 4G smartphones.
5G cellular technology-based smartphones
Eight different OEMs launched twelve different 5G smartphones in September 2022. OEMS were Apple, Motorola, Redmi, Realme, Tecno, iQoo, Vivo, and Oppo. Amongst them, Apple launched the maximum 5G smartphones, Motorola launched two 5G smartphones, and all other OEMs launched one each 5G smartphone.
Only three OEMs that haven’t launched 5G smartphones were Poco, Itel, and Lava in September 2022.
For 5G smartphones, the maximum chipsets used by OEMs were from Qualcomm, followed by Apple and MediaTek, and the OEMs used no Unisoc chipset for 5G smartphones.
From Qualcomm, five different chipsets were used by the OEMs, and each of the chipsets was used only once, from Apple two different chipsets were used and each one was used twice for smartphones launched on Apple, and from MediaTek, three distinct chipsets were used by OEMs and each one used only once and no Unisoc chipsets to launch 5G smartphone.
In the Affordable (Rs 7001 – Rs 15000) segment, two 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEMs was Redmi and iQoo, which launched the 5G smartphones under this segment.
In the Affordable Premium (Rs 15001 – Rs 30000) segment, six 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEMs who launched the 5G smartphones were Redmi, Vivo, Tecno, Oppo, iQoo, and Realme.
In the Premium (Rs 30001 – Rs 60000) segment, four 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEMs Motorola, Vivo, and Realme launched the 5G smartphones.
In the Super Premium (Rs 60001 – Rs 100000) segment, two 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEM was Apple.
In the Supreme (Above Rs 100001) segment, four 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEM was Apple, the only one who launched the 5G smartphones under this segment.
