In August, 17 smartphones were launched, of which nine were 4G smartphones, and eight were 5G smartphones and month is a kind of Infinix month.
Infinix launched four smartphones, and all four were 4G smartphones. Samsung, Vivo, Motorola, and Oppo launched two each smartphone; on that, Samsung launched both 5G smartphones, Vivo and Motorola launched one 4G and one 5G smartphone, and Oppo launched both 4G smartphones. 4G cellular technology-based smartphones
Five different OEMs launched Nine different 4G smartphones in August 2022. OEMs were Inifinix, Vivo, Motorola, Oppo, and Redmi. Infinix launched the maximum number of 4G smartphones, followed by Oppo.
Five OEMs that haven’t launched 4G smartphones were Samsung, Tecno, Realme, iQoo, and One Plus in August 2022.
For 4G smartphones, the maximum chipsets used by OEMs were from MediaTek, followed by Qualcomm, and the OEM uses only one Unisoc chipset.
From MediaTek, Helio G35 was used twice by the OEMs; from Qualcomm, only snapdragon 680 was used for smartphones, and OEM used Unisoc T616 to launch 4G smartphones.
In the Basic (Below Rs 7000) segment, only one 4G smartphone was launched, and the OEM is Infinix.
In the Affordable (Rs 7001 – Rs 15000) segment, five 4G smartphones were launched, and the OEMs were Infinix, Oppo, Redmi, and Motorola. In the Affordable Premium (Rs 15001 – Rs 30000) segment, three 4G smartphones were launched, and the OEMs were Infinix, Vivo, and Oppo.
5G cellular technology-based smartphones
Seven different OEMs launched eight different 5G smartphones in August 2022. OEMS were Samsung, Vivo, Motorola, Tecno, Realme, iQoo, and One Plus. Amongst them, Samsung launched the maximum 5G smartphones, and all other OEMs launched one each 5G smartphone.
Only three OEMs haven’t launched any 5G smartphones, Infinix, Oppo, and Redmi, in August 2022.
For 5G smartphones, the maximum chipsets used by OEMs were from Qualcomm, followed by MediaTek, and the OEMs used no Unisoc chipset for 5G smartphones.
From Qualcomm, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is used four times by the OEMs, from MediaTek Dimensity 810 is used twice for smartphones launched on MediaTek, and OEMs used no Unisoc chipsets to launch 5G smartphone.
In the Affordable (Rs 7001 – Rs 15000) segment, only one 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEM is Realme.
In the Affordable Premium (Rs 15001 – Rs 30000) segment, three 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEMs are Motorola, Tecno, and Realme.
In the Premium (Rs 30001 – Rs 60000) segment, three 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEMs are iQoo Vivo and One Plus. In the Super Premium (Rs 60001 – Rs 100000) segment, only one 5G smartphone was launched, and the OEM is Samsung.
